JackxViolet Oneshot: Pancakes

As the midmorning sun beat down on his face, Jack furrowed his brows and wrestled himself from his slumber. It felt way too early for him to be awake but the rays unfortunately had no snooze button. Rolling over with a groan, Jack swung his arms over his eyes until he began growing more and more conscious of his surroundings, including one such smell wafting from the kitchen. Sniffing lightly at the air, he propped himself up onto his elbows to identify the scent: something sweet and warm, something like that of freshly baked bread though not quite. There was only one explanation to what this smell could be: pancakes. Forcing himself up from the mattress, Jack realized a quiet yawn and trudged out into the kitchen, the light filing through the windows even brighter here. Steam rose from the mugs of hot chocolate sitting on the counter and Violet swung her hips softly to the upbeat tone that was playing on the radio, humming along as she flipped pancakes over the skillet. "Something smells great!", Jack exclaimed, running a hand through his hair. Violet yelped in surprise, flashing invisible for a quick second from the shock, before whipping around to see her guest, blood instantly rushing to her face. He was adorable half asleep, his eyes glimmering sapphire in the morning light, his hair a mess and his chest exposed from lack of hoodie. He leaned against the doorway into the kitchen with a satisfied smirk on his face, his arms crossed over his chest. Violet gave a small smile, turning to scoop some of the fresh pancakes onto a plate and displayed them in front of him, her cheeks still blushing. "You in the mood for pancakes?"
